Steven S. Wymer Hall selected as Best Construction Site

Construction on the new Steven S. Wymer Hall is moving quickly, and we’re very excited to open the building in early 2025. The nearly 100,000-square-foot facility will provide additional studio space and recording capabilities for Gies’ online programs, expanded collaborative space for experiential learning and group work, larger classrooms to support projected enrollment growth, and additional office space for Gies faculty and support staff.

The project was also recently selected as editor’s choice for Best Construction Site in the Daily Illini’s Best of CU 2024:

‘’While walking along the south side of the Armory, students are entitled to lay their eyes on the wonderful sight in between Huff Hall at the Business Instructional Facility: the great construction site of Wymer Hall... While there’s construction all over campus, the site of Wymer Hall is far better than the other construction sites like Altgeld and Illini halls because students have been entitled to see the active construction of the building throughout the school year.’’

Visit Wymer Hall’s webpage and follow us on social to learn more about its progress.

Partner with Gies students to tackle business challenges
We are now accepting project submissions for our Master of Science in Technology Management (MSTM) students. Each summer, students participate in a practicum to provide data-driven recommendations for real-life business challenges. If your business is experiencing any of the following, let’s chat!

  • Identifying and/or implementing a new technology platform for internal use
  • Developing strategies to introduce an emerging technology or innovation to a new client segment
  • Unique business challenges with a technical component or industry focus

Project submissions are due by May 1, and can be submitted here.
